- MISS LIZZIE SANGSTER DIES AT BRASHEAR
Miss Lizzie Sangster, for many years a resident of Brashear, died suddenly afternoon at her home at the age of 66 years. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church, of Brashear, of which she was a member. Rev. H. E. Marshall conducted the services. Interment took place in the Brashear cemetery.
Miss Sangster became suddenly ill yesterday afternoon while going to town. She stopped at a neighbors for awhile before returning home. After returning home she gradually became worse, passing away about five hours later. Death was due to heart trouble.
She was born August 19, 1861, in Canada, the daughter of William and Mary Sangster, who were natives of Scotland. Her mother died when she was a small child. Her father then moved to Brashear where he died several years ago. Two sisters, Mrs. L. J. Sherwood and Miss Jennie Sangster, both of Brashear, preceded her in death a short time ago. She and her sister own a farm west of Brashear, but had made her home in Brashear for many years.
She is survived by one sister, Miss Elsie Sangster, of Brashear, who has been an invalid for a number of years, and one brother, James Sangster, of Artesia, New Mexico. She also leaves three nephews, Joseph Sangster, of Brashear, Robert Sangster, formerly of Kirksville, but now of Macon, and John Bunn , of Cherokee, Iowa, and one niece, Mrs. R. E. Griggs, of Kirksville.
