Notes |
- Death of Mr. William Moore, of Waterloo
Says the Berlin News of Sunday: - "Mr. Wm. Moore, of Waterloo, died this morning. He had been ailing for some time, but was considered better, so well in fact, that last Sunday he attended the Presbyterian Church in Berlin, of which he was a faithful and devoted member. He was congratulated on his apparent recovery, but a few days after he again took worse, and sank gradually till his death. He was a highly esteemed well to do citizen, and will be greatly missed by his many friends in Waterloo and Berlin. He was about fifty years of age, and leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss." -
The deceased was a brother of Mr. John D. Moore, of Dumfries; Mr. George Moore, of Waterloo; and of Mr. J D. Moore, of St. Mary's. He was a gentleman universally respected for his many estimable qualities, and his death will be deeply regretted by his many friends. Mr. Moore was married some years ago to a daughter of Mr. Walter Heastie, of North Dumfries, who together with three children survive him. The funeral took place on Wednesday last, the remains being interred in Waterloo cemetery.
