  JOHN PHIN, the younger brother of the gentleman alluded to above, has also spent his life in the locality of his present residence. He has taken a foremost part in promoting the prosperity of the locality, and has evinced a degree of public spirit and an interest in political matters which secured him the Conservative nomination for the Legislature in 1879, but the Liberal majority in the Riding was too large to admit of his overcoming it, and he suffered defeat. Parsell & Co., Toronto, Ont. 1881 ___________________ Died At "Kennaquhair," Waterloo Tp., on Thursday, October 1st, 1903, at 3 o'clock p.m., John Phin, Aged 67 years and 1 month. Funeral Will take place from his late residence, "Kennaquhair Farm," Waterloo Tp., where services will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 1903, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., thence to the Hespeler Cemetery for interment.
