Notes |
- Isaac Hagey, "the fourth son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Bergey) Hagey, was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, March 20th, 1820. When two years of age his parents moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County, near Preston, where he was raised. In 1842, he was married to Nancy, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Erb) Gingerich. She was born near Preston, February 25th, 1825. Soon after their marriage they moved on his father's old homestead near Preston where they resided three years, then they moved to Chicopee, on the Grand River, about two miles north of Freeport, where they have since resided. They have had a family of nine children"
