  Menno Zeller, son of the late Ludwig and Sophia (Becker) Zeller, was born in German Mills on September 14, 1866*; passed away at his home in German Mills on Saturday evening, August 3, 1940, following a heart attack; aged 73 years 10 months 19 days. He was a resident of that community his entire lifetime. He was well known in the community at large. On December 12, 1894, in Kitchener, he was united in marriage to Ella Baer who remains to mourn his loss. He also is survived by 5 sons (Roy, of Exshaw, Alberta; Oliver, Harvey, Stanley, and Alten, all of Kitchener), 2 daughters (Mrs. Milton Lambke, of Preston, and Clara, at home), 9 grandchildren, 1 brother (John Zeller, of Detroit, Michigan), and 1 sister (Mrs. Henry Stuckhart, of Kitchener). Funeral services were held in the First Mennonite Church of Kitchener, Ontario. Ministers in charge were Bros. C. G. Derstine and Leslie Witmer. Theme, "Life's Inescapable Appointment." Interment in adjoining cemetery. Gospel Herald - Vol. XXXIII, No 21 - August 22, 1940 - pages 462, 463, 464. * Gravestone indicates he was born September 15, 1866 which would agree with his accumulated age of 73 years 10 months 19 days.
