- DEATH CLAIMS CONTRACTOR
Ernest Goettling, 74, contractor and builder, who had lived in Tacoma 45 years, died Monday evening at his home, 5227 So. M St. Born in Germany, he came to Canada the United States 50 years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, Susannah R. Goettling; three daughters, Mrs. G. F. G. Schoeffler, Mrs. W. F. Dolan and Miss Katherine Goettling; two sons, William E. and David B., and five grandchildren, all of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Will Rheim of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, and brothers, Christian of Detroit, Gottlob of Bowdle, S. D., William of New Dundee, Ontario, and Albert of Kitchener.

Ernest Goettling
The death of Ernest Goettling, 74. occurred Monday at his residence in Tacoma, Wash. Born in Germany, Feb. 14, 1874, he. came to Canada with his parents when a boy of six and settled in Roseville.
In 1903 he married Susie Gateman, Kitchener. He was a carpenter by trade. Surviving, besides his widow, are two sons, William and David, Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Catherine, Ruth, and Mary, Tacoma; four brothers, Christian, Detroit; Gottlob, Bowdle, South Dakota; Albert. Rosebank, and William, New Dundee, and one sister, Mrs. William Riehm, Kitchener.
Two brothers and three sisters predeceased him. The funeral was held in Tacoma, where interment was made.
