  SHERK, Mrs. William - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Friday, May 31, 1974, after a brief illness, Mary Etta Battler, of Ayr, age 92 years and had been a resident of the area all her life; a member of the W.M.S. of New Dundee United Brethren Church; mother of Leon of Yachats Oregon, Melvin of Kitchener, Weston of Route 4 Cambridge-Galt, Walter and Mrs. Vernetta Wildfong both of London, Mrs. Wilfred (Maimie) McDonald, Route 1 Wellesley, Mrs. James (Irene) Main, Route 4, Bright, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was the last surviving member of her family; predeceased by her husband, five brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Luke Rienstra officiating.
