  CRESSMAN, Alvina - Passed away peacefully, at her residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg on Wednesday, February 18, 2004. She was born 93 years ago in East Zorra Township and was the daughter of the late Christian D. and Nancy (Kropf) Roth. Alvina was a member of Nith Valley Mennonite Church, RR1, New Hamburg. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing and quilting. Beloved wife of the late Elam Cressman who predeceased her in November 14, 1967. Dear mother of Grace Cressman of Tavistock, Doreen Cressman of New Hamburg and Jim and wife Sandra Cressman of RR1, New Hamburg. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jeff and wife Stacey, Daryl and friend Kristen and Anna and friend Jeff. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Eloise Cressman of New Hamburg. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Alvina was predeceased by her sisters and brother Amanda and husband Aaron Stoltzfus, Elizabeth Roth, Elam and wife Lena Roth and Ida and husband Clarence Bender. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and again Monday evening 7-9 p.m. (These times are when the family will be present). The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at 2: 00 p.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Church with Pastors Matthew and Hendrike Isert Bender and Pastor Amsey Martin officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Nithview Home or Nith Valley Mennonite Church or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
