  Bender, Ida - On Wednesday, October 8, 1997, at Stratford General Hospital. Ida resided at Nithview Home, New Hamburg and was born 93 years ago in North Easthope Township. She was the daughter of the late Christian D. Roth and the former Nancy Kropf. She was a member of Cassel Mennonite Church, RR 1, Tavistock where she was a member of the WMSC. Ida enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening as her hobbies. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Bender who predeceased her July 1, 1993. Dear mother of Robert and his wife Laurene of RR 1, Tavistock. Sadly missed by her sister, Alvina Cressman of New Hamburg. Also remembered by a sister-in-law, Elvera Bender of New Hamburg and brothers-in-law, Lloyd and his wife Leona Bender, Lavern and his wife Ina Bender, all of RR 1, Tavistock, Milfrid and his wife Edna of RR 1, New Hamburg and Gladwin and his wife Alma of Kitchener and also a number of nieces and nephews. Ida was predeceased by a brother, Elam, two sisters, Amanda Stoltzfus and Elizabeth. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg tonight (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 11, 1997 at 2: 30 p.m. at Cassel Mennonite Church, RR 1, Tavistock. Pastor Jim Whitehead officiating. Interment to follow in East Zorra Mennonite Church Cemetery, RR 1, Tavistock.
