    • Diehl-Hillgartner Nuptial

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hillgartner, one mile south of the city, on Monday evening last when their eldest daughter Minerva was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Louis John Diehl, of Edmonton South. The bride was very prettily attired in a dress of pale blue, with gold trimming, with bridal veil, and carried a large bunch of flowers. Miss Ruth Sanden, of Wetaskiwin, was the bridesmaid while Mr. Clayton Hillgartner, brother of the bride, performed the duties of groomsman. About fifty guests were in attendance. The presents to the bride were very numerous while many were exceptionally handsome. During the evening various forms of amusement were indulged in the principal one of which was dancing. The happy couple are spending a short honeymoon at Winnipeg, and upon their return, will take up their residence at South Edmonton. The host of friends of this popular young couple join in extending the heartiest congratulations for a long, happy and prosperous life.
