    • Mrs. Christina Hiller

      The death took place at the Kitchener-Waterloo hospital on Saturday night of Christina Hamel, widow of the late Henry Hiller and daughter of Mr. Wm. Hamel, formerly of New Hamburg. She had been ill for only four days and was in her 46th year of age. The deceased was born in Philipsburg and later lived for a time in Wilmot Centre. She came with her father to New Hamburg after the death of her mother and resided here until her marriage to Harry Hiller of this town, when they moved onto a farm near Linwood. Her husband predeceased her 14 years ago and after that she made her home with her father in Waterloo, where he had moved to from here. The deceased was an active and faithful member of the Lutheran Church. She was active in church work of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo and of the Ladies' Aid Society. She was also a member of the Crystal Rebekah Lodge. There are left in bereavement one son, Harry, her father, Mr. Wm. Hamel, three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. J. Hemmerly, Mrs. Gilbert Holle, Miss Laura Hamel, William and Henry Hamel, all of Waterloo, and Harvey, of Kitchener.

      The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon with service in St. John's Lutheran church and interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. The service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Reble, of Hamilton, owing the Rev. Mr. Roberts, pastor of the Waterloo church being ill.

      Mrs. Christina Hiller

      Ill only four days, Mrs. Christina Hiller, 66 Peppler street, Waterloo, passed away at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital Saturday night in her 46th year. She was born in Philipsburg and had been a resident of Waterloo for the past 14 years. Mrs. Miller was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. The late Mr. Hiller died 14 years ago. There survive, one son, Harry, her father William Hamel, both of Waterloo, three sisters, Mrs. J. Hemmerley, Miss Laura Hamel and Mrs. Gilbert Holle, of Waterloo and three brothers, William and Henry Hamel, of Waterloo and Harry of Kitchener. The funeral was held Tuesday from the residence, followed by service at St. John's Lutheran church. Interment was made at Mount Hope cemetery. Rev. Mr. Reble of Hamilton officiated for Rev. C. S. Roberts, who is ill.
