    • Retired Farmer Dies at 76

      LOWVILLE-Joel Widrick 76, retired farmer of Copenhagen, R.D.. died at 4 this morning in the Lewis County General hospital where he had been a patient one week. A prayer service will beheld Tuesday at 1: 30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ednor Lyndaker, New Bremen, with the funeral at 2 p m. in Lowville Conservative Mennonite church with Rev. Richard Zehr officiating. Burial will be in the Croghan Conservative Mennonite cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at the home of Mrs. Ednor Lyndaker. New Bremen. Besides Mrs Lyndaker, he is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Robert (Saviera) Cooper, Copenhagen. Mrs. William (Barbara) Brown, Lowville, and Mrs. Ralph (Arlene) Zehr, Croghan: three sons. Lloyd, Adams, Arthur, Copenhagen and John. Syracuse; two brothers John and Aaron, both of Lowville: two sisters, Mrs. Jacob (Ann) Yousey, Castorland. and Mrs. Andrew (Emma) Moser, Copenhagen: 30 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren A son Milford died Jan. 1, 1939. Mr. Widrick was born at Kirschnerville. April 21, 1892. a son of John N. and Veronica Erb Widrick. He married twice. On Nov. 1, 1915. he married Emma Mayer at Pigeon. Mich. She died in October. 1918. He married Rachel Gingerich. Dec. 27, 1920, in Ontario, Canada Mrs Widrick died March 28. 1942 He owned and operated a farm on the Number Three road until 1946 and then operated a farm near Copenhagen until 1962 and since then had lived with his son, Arthur. Mr. Widrick was a member of the Conservative Mennonite church of Lowville.
