  HUEHN, Robert With sad hearts we announce the passing of Robert Oscar Huehn at Southampton Care Centre on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Born on March 6, 1930 in Heidelberg, Ontario, Bob was predeceased by his mother Emma Schmidt (1972), father Herman (1956) and brother Carl (1983). Lovingly remembered by his wife Bernice Irene (Koehler); daughters Marybeth and Susan (Stacey); sons-in-law Rene Lavoie and David Stacey; grandchildren Eryn and Kate Stacey; sisters-in-law Margaret Ann Church, Jean Beaton and their husbands John and Chuck; and many cousins and co-workers. Bob was a charter and active member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church and most recently Faith Lutheran Church in Port Elgin. He was a funeral director at Ratz-Bechtel in Kitchener, achieving 57 years of service until he retired in 2007. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, walking at the "track" and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. He had been a resident of Elgin Lodge in Port Elgin until June of this year. A Funeral Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 525 Ivings Drive, Port Elgin on Sunday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Interment Service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg, Ontario, on Monday, August 11th at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Port Elgin, or World Vision Canada. Though we grieve now, in days to come we will be able to look back over the years and remember the memories and love that filled our hearts.
