- George D. Gourlay
AYR, George Douglas Gourlay, 85, in ailing health for several years, died at Willett Hospital, Paris, Sunday. He was born on the 8th concession of Blenheim Township, son of the late Andrew Gourlay and Jane Armstrong. He operated a livery stable and worked as an engineer in Ayr, until moving to Paris, 50 years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Mayme Byers; three brothers, Peter L., RR 3, Ayr, James A. of Regina and Alex of Ayr; two sisters, Jessie of Ayr and Mrs. Mary Body, Portage La Prairie, Man. The body is resting at the Cummings Funeral Home, at Paris, where the funeral will he conducted by Rev. Walter Kennedy, Tuesday at 2: 30 p.m.
