  Peter L. Gourlay Passes - A resident of this community all his life, Peter Lewis Gourlay died early Thursday morning at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, in his 90th year. He had been hospitalized only for a few days. A son of the late Andrew Gourlay and Jane Armstrong Gourlay, he was born south of Ayr and farmed for many years on the place now owned by George Mitchell. He retired into Ayr several years ago, and had since resided on Stanley St. He was a valued member of Dolman Lodge, IOOF, for 62 years and a veteran member of Ayr Curling Club. He was a Presbyterian by faith. Surviving are his wife, the former Isabella Preston Mitchell; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Boddy, Portage La Prairie, Man., and Miss Jessie Gourlay of Ayr. The Funeral Funeral service was held from his late residence on Saturday conducted by Rev. Dr. David Gowdy of Central Presbyterian Church, Galt. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert G. Brown, Jack Page, Don Page, William Mitchell, Robert Mitchell and James Gourlay. All are nephews of the deceased.
