- Mrs. Fred Brighton - Mrs. Fred Brighton, 79, of 58 DeKay St. died today at her home following a lengthy illness. Born in Germany, she was the former Annie M. Schultz, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Schultz. She had resided in Kitchener for more than 75 years and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Brighton was a member of the Friendship Circle and the Lutheran Church Women. Her husband died in 1918.
Surviving are one son, Ralph of Elmwood; two daughters, Mrs. Nelson (Mildred) Bellstein and Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Matthews, both of Kitchener; two brothers, Arthur Schultz of Guelph and Harry Schulz of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Edith Froelich of Kitchener; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Nicholson, predeceased her in 1963.
The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where service will be conducted Thursday at 2 pm by Rev. A.A. Schweitzer, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran church. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the memorial fund of St. Mark's Lutheran church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
