    • Daniel Graeb lived on the River Road and delivered in Town; around 1896 he opened a butcher shop in what is now Phin's Toy Shop. Thomas Bedford and Thomas Hutchison bought his business and at the same time bought also the business being then carried on by A. W. Leybourne on Adam Street where Alf. Ryan is now. Thereupon Mr. Leybourne who had formerly been employed in Graeb's shop took charge on behalf of Bedford and Hutchison.

      Thomas Bedford, 80, of Bloomingdale died Thursday at his late residence following a lingering illness. Born in Staffordshire, Eng., on Aug. 29. 1861, he was a son of the late Charles Bedford and Leah Bull. Mr. Bedford was a butcher at Bloomingdale for many years previous to his retirement. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters.

      In 1906 he married Anna Berlet who survives with three sons, Percy of North Bay, Gerald of Kitchener, Cpl. Ross of the R.C.A.F., St. Thomas, two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Kaminska of Kitchener, and Miss Gladys of Toronto, two brothers, Charles of Bloomingdale
