- Mrs. Oscar H. Schmidt, 52, of 1135 King St. East, died at K-W Hospital Thursday after a lengthy illness. Born in Kitchener, she was the former Edna Paetz, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Paetz. She attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband; one son, Stewart of Montreal; four daughters, Mrs. William (Evelyn) Sheryer, Dorothy, Mrs. Jerome (Reta) Straus and Jean of Kitchener; two sisters, Frieda of Kitchener and Mrs. Earl (Hilda) Martin of Waterloo and three grandchildren. The body is resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. A.W. Lotz, pastor of the church officiating
