      Mrs. Alfred E. Stover, 82, the former Louisa Newell, died Saturday at the Willett Hospital, Paris. Born in Ayr, Mrs. Stover lived in the Paris district all her life. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church. Mrs. Stover was the last member of the Newell family.

      Surviving are one son, Harold W. of Paris; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur N. (Florence) Smith and Mrs. James C. (Ethel) Good, both of Paris, and Mrs. George (Helen) Rogers of Niagara Falls, Ont.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her in 1958.

      Funeral service was held Tuesday at the Bruce B. Smith Funeral Home with interment in Paris Cemetery.
