PHILIPSBURG, May 14. Samuel Axt. 84, died at his home here yesterday as the result of a heart attack. He was born in Woolwich Township, sun of the late John Axt and Catherine Diebel, and was a carpenter by occupation. He attended Zion Lutheran Church. His wife, Annie Schmidt, predeceased him.
Surviving are two sisters. Mrs. Fred Willie and Mrs. Israel Um. bach, both of Stoney Plains, Alta. Private funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at his home, followed by a public service in Zion Lutheran Church at 2:30. Rev. S. F. Friedrichsen will officiate and interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The remains are resting at Steinman's Funeral Home until Friday at 5 p.m. when removal will be made to his late residence.
