  SAM. JOHNSTON DECEASED -After an illness extending over several years, the latter part of which he has been a great sufferer, there passed away on Sunday afternoon, April 6th, Samuel Johnston. one of the best known residents of this community, in his 87th year. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Fordwich cemetery. Besides his widow, who is at present very ill, he is survived by a family of 3 daughters and 6 sons, all of whom were home for the funeral. The Brussels Post, 16 Apr 1924 pg 5
