    • A-2-90 William McKinley The Last Will and Testament of William McKinley, late of the Township of Wellesley, Yeoman, who died on or about the 21st November 18 1860 at the City of Glasgow, Scotland (while on a visit there) and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at the Township of Wellesley, was proved and registered in the said Surrogate Court, a true copy of which said last Will and Testament is hereunder written and that the Administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects…was granted by the aforesaid Court to Mathew Reed of the Township of Mornington in the County of Perth, Yeoman, and John B. Bampbell and John McRae, both of the Township of Wellesley, Yromen, the Executors named in the said Will…

      …This instrument witnesseth that I William McKinley of the Township of Wellesley, being of sound memory and understanding do make publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament…My will is first that my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid my my Executors hereinafter named, the residue of my estate and property which shall not be required for the payment of my just debts, funeral charges and expenses attending the execution of this My Last Will and the administration of my estate, I devise as sollows… That within one year after my decease that my estate be sold together with all my personal property of which I shall be seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, by my Executors hereinafter named and that the proceeds arising from the same be divided as follows by my Executors hereinafter named.

      (First) that the money arising from the within mentioned sale of all my property be divided as follows That there be paid to my sister Jane McKinley, wife of Malcom Eadie of the Town of Glasgow, Scotland, No 20 Claythorn Street, the sum of 150 dollars, if she be alive at my death, if not till[sic] her heirs by my Executors one year after my death.

      (Second) and that there be aid by my Executors one year after my death the sum of one hundred dollars to the Millbank Presbyterian Church of which I was a member, to be by the Elders disposed of the best way the[y] think proper for the spread of the Gospel of Christ ; and that the remainder of the money arising from the said sale be divided one third to my wife, Eliza McKinley, one third to my son, John McKinley, and one third to my son William Atcheson McKinley, making them all alike and if William Aitchihson[sic] be not of age at my death that his money will be kept by my Executors and by them put to interest till he be the full age of twenty one and then paid to him in full, but that my wife and son John get theirs within one year after my death. And I do hereby nominate and appoint as my Executors Mathew Reid of Mornington, John McRae and John B. Campbell of the Township of Wellesley, to be the sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament…
