- At his home, 2nd concession, lot 8, Puslinch Township, on Thursday morning, [July 6, 1933]. He had been ill for sixteen years but had been confined to bed for three months. Born on the 3rd concession, in his 75th year, he was a lifelong resident of the district and a contractor by trade. He had not been in good health for a number of years and it was about three months ago that he took to his bed. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Survived by wife; three sons, James at home; Thomas on the homestead, 3rd concession of Puslinch; Albert of Detroit; daughter, Mrs. Alex Smith of Galt; three sisters, Mrs. John Kellerman and Mrs. William Brown of Guelph; and Mrs. Frank Howard of Hamilton. Funeral on Saturday at 2: 30 from his home, conducted by Rev. T. G. Marshall of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Patterson Hall of Knox Presbyterian Church in Galt. Pallbearers: W. H. Bolger, John R. Little, William J. Little, Donald McCaig, Gordon McKay and William Ross. Interment Hespeler Cemetery
