  • Notes
    • A Sad Death - While typhoid fever has been raging through the village, with greater or less severity for a period of nearly three months, the first to fall victim to the scourge was Eddy Limpert, a young man nearly nineteen years of age, son of Mr. V. Limpert. About a month or six weeks ago he was taken down with rather a severe attack of fever; but had so far recovered as to be able to be around again, when bleeding from the mouth and nose set in. On Friday evening medical aid was called in and the bleeding was checked, but could not be fully stopped. He lingered on until Monday evening, when death finally overtook him. Eddy was a promising and industrious young man, of studious habits, well-liked by all his acquaintances. There are many of us who will miss his face from among us for many a long day.
