- WILLIAM PITZ - William Pitz, 97 Courtland Avenue East, fireman at Joseph E. Seagram distillery for 15 year prior to his retirement five years ago, died last night at his home in his 69th year. Mr. Pitz was born In Hessen, Germany, and came to this country in 1882 at the age of 16 years. He attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, nee Angeline Rapier, two sons, Eli of Kitchener, Dalton of Atwood, and four daughters, Mrs. Elgin Hahn, Mrs. A. D. Riley, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Frank Hill, Detroit, and Miss Irene, city, as well as 12 grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home at II o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. The remains will be resting at the funeral home until Friday noon when they will be taken to the residence of his daughter, Mrs. A. D. Riley., 96 Shanley Street, to rest there until Saturday noon and then taken to the funeral home for the service.
