- Wilfred Schiedel, 54, of 290 Sherwood Ave., died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
He retired to Kitchener from Wilmot Centre five months ago after operating a dairy farm for 12 years.
He was born May 19, 1912, in Kitchener, a son of the late Lanson Schiedel and Mrs. Lavina Schmitt of New Hamburg. He was a member of Wilmot Centre Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving besides his mother are his wife, the former Marjorie Siebert; four sons, Larry and Richard of Kitchener and twins, Robert and William, at home; three brothers, Harold of Doon, Carl of Listowel and John of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Edna) Knarr of Waterloo and Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Tatham and Mrs. George (Dorothy) McKee, both of Kitchener, and two granddaughters.
The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home un til Monday when removal will be made to Wilmot Centre EUB Church for the funeral at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. A. M. Schlenker and Rev. George Peck. Burial will be in Wilmot Centre EUB Church cernetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Women's Society for World Service of Wilmot Centre EUB Church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
