    • Harold H. Deckert

      Harold H. Deckert of 108 Weber St. W., died Monday, at St. Mary's Hospital, after a brief illness. He was 54. Born in Linwood, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Deckert. He lived in the Twin City area all his life and had worked at Uniroyal Ltd., textile division, for 23 years. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, Michael, and a brother, Arthur. Surviving are his wife, the former Adele Leota Block, whom he married in Toronto, Aug. 11, 1942; two sons. Richard of Kitchener and Kevin at home; three brothers, Elgin of Detroit, Carl of Elmira and Kenneth of Wellesley; four sisters, Mrs. Norman (Louise) McLaughlin of Dorking, Mrs. Harry (Elms) Liverance and Mrs. Harry (Laverne) Steinfield, both of Linwood and Mrs. Russell (Eva) Jensen of Port Huron, Mich. and one grandson. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, where Rev. Darrell Jantzi of Strasburg Mennonite Church, will conduct the service, Thursday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
