- Mr. Gottlibe Brohman, of Little Germany, who died Sunday at his residence in that place, helped to chop the first tree felled there. This was in 1831, two years after he had emigrated to emigrated to this country. He lived in the village he assisted to found till 1876, and raised a family of eleven children, who are all well and favorably known throughout the country.
