  Brought to Her Final Rest The late widow, Theresia Scharbach, who died on Thursday in New Germany, attained a fine age. She was born April 2, 1816 in Waldorf near Rottenburg on the Neckar in Württemberg and came to Canada with her parents in 1839. They settled in New Germany, where her father, Lukas Zettel, ran the first inn there. In 1838, she married Joseph Scharbach, who died 7 years ago. One child was born of the marriage, the wife of Edward Halter, by whom Mrs. Scharbach, spent the evening of her life and enjoyed the best care. Her funeral took place on Saturday, with a large attendance. The local pastor, Very Rev. St. Fôrster, spoke words of consolation for the bereaved and of praise for the deceased, who, throughout her entire life performed works of charity for the church, as well as for the poor and the sick. After the burial, a solemn funeral mass took place in the church, celebrated by Very Rev. P.W. Klôpfer, assisted by Very Rev. P.A. Weiler and Very Rev. St. Förster.
