  Lawrence McRae (Mills), 78, of RR 1 Embro, died Saturday [May 27, 1989] at the Stratford General Hospital. Born in Wellesley Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dave McRae. His wife, the former Jessie Smith, died in 1971. He had farmed for many years. Surviving are eight sons, Jim and wife Violet, of London, Leo, of Stratford, Robert, of Penticton, B.C., Maitland and wife Anna of Lakeside, Steven and wife Donna, Brian and wife Terrie, all of Embro, Wayne and wife Leslie, and Gary, all of Stratford; three daughters, Lenore and husband Fred Schutt, of Hanover, Mabel and husband John Regan, of London, Charlotte and husband Robert Zimmer, of Stratford; 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, George and Roy and one sister, Evelyn Tillie. Friends will be received at the Heinbuck funeral home, 156 Albert St., Stratford, today from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where a service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. James Ross Dickey will officiate.
