- Bauman, Leonard H. - June 8, 1926 - March 18, 2011 ~ Peacefully went home to be with the Lord at Heritage House, St. Jacobs. Leonard Bauman age 84 years of St. Jacobs formerly of Wallenstein. Beloved husband of Lovina (Bearinger) Bauman for almost 62 years. Dear father of Maynard and Martha of Stratford, Laverne and Erla of Heidelberg, Marlene and Edward Gingerich of St. Jacobs, Omar Bauman of Guelph and Sharon Carty-Bauman of Brampton. Also lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Leonard was the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his parents Jonas and Hettie (Horst) Bauman, two brothers Aden and Alton, two sisters Lydian Bauman and Minerva Martin, five children, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. Leonard was a cattle buyer for approximately 50 years and was a long-time, faithful member of Countryside Mennonite Fellowship. The family received their friends and relatives at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, Hawkesville on Sunday (yesterday) from 6-9 p.m. and (today) Monday, March 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. followed by interment in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. In his memory, donations to Christian Aid Ministries would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
