  St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Alfred Norbert Hergott, of RR 1, St. Clements. Mr. Hergott was born in Wellesley township, 66 years ago. He was a son of the late Peter Hergott and the late Annie Hahn. Norbert farmed at RR 1, St. Clements all his life, where he operated the Hergott Tractor Service and was a McCulloch Chain Saw dealer since 1948. He was also active in the Wellesley North Easthope Agricultural Society. Education was also very dear to his heart; he started as a trustee in 1948, was chairman of the Elmira District Secondary School Board from 1967 to 1968, then became a Roman Catholic separate school representative on the Waterloo County Board of Education, serving until his death. Mr. Hergott was a lifelong active member of St. Clements RC Church, serving the church in many capacities. Beloved husband of the former Marguerite Boehm of RR 1, St. Clements; dear father of Paul of Kitchener, John of RR 2, Powassan, Mark of RR 3, Wellesley, Mary (Mrs. Michael Reger) of Elmira and Luanne Hergott of Waterloo. Also survived by seven grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother, Francis in 1939. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley. Prayers offered at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 10:15 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clements RC Church on Tuesday. Rev. W. L. Ryan officiated.
