  EBY, Melinda (nee Schallhorn) Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Chateau Gardens, Elmira. Melinda, in her 92nd year was the beloved wife of the late Urias W. Eby (December 2002). Loving mother of Lloyd and Julie Eby of Elmira, Naomi and Ken Freiburger of Elmira, Martha and Doug Porteous of Waterloo, Lester and Margaret Eby of Fergus, Marie and Earl Martin of Elmira and Sharon and Bruce Norris of Virginia. Lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, eight great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Edna Horst of Wallenstein and Reuben and Hannah Bauman of RR 3, Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents Josiah and Elizabeth (Lichty) Schallhorn, one granddaughter Annette Eby, one grandson Samuel Eby (June 2006), three sisters Elvina Shantz, Elmeda Martin, Salome Reist, and one brother Sylvester. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira today, January 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, RR 1, Elora on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steven Jansen and Pastor Fred Lichti officiating. The casket will remain open at the church until 10: 30 a.m. Interment in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. In Melinda's memory, donations to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary or Elmira Mennonite Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
