- DUNCAN MacPHERSON
Duncan MacPherson, well-known local farmer, died suddenly on Sunday morning, at his home, R.R. 1, Wallenstein. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander MacPherson, he was 64 years old. Mr. MacPherson had a stroke last Thursday.
He lived on the farmed where he was born on May 29, 1882. Thirty-two years ago he married the former Cassie Bryden at Galt.
He leaves besides his wife, one son Ross at home; two brothers, Dr. A. D. MacPherson, Waterford; John MacPherson, Galt; and three sisters, Mrs. John Voll of Wallenstein; Mrs. Frederick Voll of Carthage; and Mrs. Andrew Fowler of Bareau, Michigan. One son, William, was killed overseas while serving with the R.C.A.F., during World War II.
The funeral was held on Tuesday from the late residence to Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira. Burial was made in the Elmira cemetery with Rev. C. L. Mitchell officiating.
