  SNYDER, Melvin Melvin passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Forest Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener. He was born April 8, 1920, 92 years ago in Waterloo County. He was the son of the late Percy and Rachel (Rudy) Snyder. Beloved husband of the late Annabelle (Meyers) Snyder who predeceased him May 1, 2012. Sadly missed by his children Ron (Ferris) Snyder of B.C.; Murray (Rosemary) Snyder, Dale (Cathy) Snyder all of New Hamburg; Pat (Robert) Sider of Atwood, Diana (Ron) Diamond of Plattsville; Brenda (Fin) MacLennan, Karen (Craig) Grant, Carl (Donna) Snyder, Marian Snyder, Roy Snyder and Terry Snyder all of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of 22 grand-children and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Helen Grenzabach of Kitchener, Ralph Snyder and friend Dori of California; Lorne Snyder and friend Bonnie of Alberta; Ken and Sharyn Snyder of British Columbia. Missed by brother-in-law Lorne and Evelyn Lichti of Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law Ann Snyder of Hawkesville; and Jackie Snyder of Baden. Melvin was pre-deceased by daughter and son-in-law Linda (James) Dowdall, grand-daughter Dineen Snyder, brothers Stan Snyder, Lincoln Snyder, sister Jean Lichti and brother-in-law Carl Grenzabach. Melvin was a member of Mannheim Mennonite Church, Mannheim. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Melvin's life will take place on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Mannheim Mennonite Church with Pastor Irvin Weins officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Mennonite Central Committee.
