  SCHNURR, Marie (Dorscht) 1913-2011 After a long and healthy life, Marie passed away peacefully, in her 98th year, at Pinehaven Nursing Home on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. She will now be reunited with her beloved husband Harold Schnurr (1999) to whom she was married to for 65 years. Loving mother of Therese Hummel, Kitchener, Corrine Schnurr, Waterloo, Patricia Hummel (Tom), Waterloo, Raymond Schnurr (Cheryl), Kitchener, Edward Schnurr (Margaret), Kitchener, David Schnurr (Joyce), Damascus and son-in-law Ken Stemmler (Shirley) of Kitchener. Will be remembered by 13 grand-children, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters-in-law Marguerite Patchett, Alice Miller and Audrey Haefling. Predeceased by daughter Marlene Stemmler (1983), son-in-law Irvin Hummel (1998). Marie was the last surviving member of her family of 10 brothers and sisters. Special thanks to all the dedicated staff of Pinehaven, especially Shirley Hergott. Marie's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011 and Friday from 2 p.m. until 3: 15 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service will be conducted at 3: 30 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Movement Disorders Research & Rehabilitation Centre - WLU or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
