Passed away, peacefully at her residence, on Thursday, December 11, 2003, in her 85th year.
Lucy was predeceased by her first husband John Stockie in 1986, her second husband William Lenz in 1996 and her brothers Gilbert, Elmer and Howard Moser.
Loving mother of James Stockie and his wife Janet of Kitchener, Marlene and her husband James Fritz of RR 1, St. Agatha, Marianne and her husband Cal Shantz of Newton and Debbie and her husband Doug Metzger of Linwood. Proud and devoted grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Lucy is survived by her brothers Claude. Harold, Clarence, Melvin, Jerome, Bill and Calvin Moser and by her sisters Lorraine Goebel, Catherine Sterner, Gloria Wyszynski and Helen Kreutzer.
Lucy was born in Bamberg on May 3, 1918 and after her marriage lived in St. Agatha the majority of her life. She worked at the Notre Dame Children's Village and was a member of St. Agatha RC Church where she was involved with the CWL and a member the Carmel of St. Joseph Guild in St. Agatha. Recently, while living in Waterloo Lucy attended St. Michael's RC Church.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Lucy with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Saturday from 7-9 p:m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Parish Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. A family prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 9:15 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's RC Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Malone as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Agatha RC Cemetery.
