  Duncan M. Fair - Native of This Village Passes At Strathclair, Manitoba - The death occurred suddenly at his home at Strathclair, Man., on Friday of Duncan McRuer Fair, a former resident of this village. Mr. Fair was born in Ayr and lived here until some 20 years ago when he went west. He will be well remembered by many of the older residents of the community by whom he was held in high esteem. Deceased visited here some 5 or 6 years ago and always had a warm spot in his heart for his native village. He was a member of Dolman Lodge, I.O.O.F. Besides his widow, whose maiden name was Jessie Malone, he is survived by the following three brothers: Jas. G., Ayr; William, Detroit, and John, Vancouver. The Ayr News Jan 17 1929 pg 1
