Notes |
- Abraham Histand, "was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania, February 11th, 1810. He was unmarried when he came to Canada. After being in Waterloo County for some time he became acquainted with Hannah Kinzie whom he married soon after their acquaintance. She was born February 5th, 1813, and died April 14th, 1854. They resided in different places of the county, and after her death he was married to Magdalena Eby, widow of the late John Betzner. They resided on the old "Betzner Farm" which place he purchased from the Betzner Estate. Here they resided until his death which took place April 16th, 1863. His widow afterwards married Joseph Hallman. She was born December 12th, 1813, and died near New Dundee, Ontario, April 2nd, 1886. To Mr. Histand and his second wife was born one child, a daughter named Magdalena."
