May 7, 1886 Magdalena Brohmann, née Schumann, widow of Joseph Brohmann, died in the residence of her son, the Rev. George Brohmann, pastor in Deemerton, at age of 75 years, 7 months and 8 days. The deceased had earned the respect & love of all who knew her and her body was accompanied by many friends to the railway station in Mildmay, from where she was brought to New Germany. Her burial took place there on Sunday afternoon. May she rest in Peace!
