  Fred Kadel Fred Kadel, 63, of 99 1/2 Benton St., died Wednesday at Coutts Pavilion, Freeport Sanatorium, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Kitchener, Sept. 2, 1892, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Kadel and worked at the Lang Tanning Company until retiring in 1947 due to ill health. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Schmidt, to whom he was married Apr. 14, 1920, in Kitchener: one son, Kenneth of Preston; one daughter, Shirley of Kitchener and one grandchild. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The body is at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, where the service will be conducted, Saturday, at 2 p.m., by Rev. Dr. Henry Opperman of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 19 Apr 1962 pg 5
