Passed away peacefully at Heritage House, St. Jacobs on April 11, 2011 in her 96th year. Dear wife of Nelson Seftel (1962) and Edward McClenaghan (1998). Loving sister and sister-in-law of Erma Cheeseman, Marie Neeb, Erwin Hoffmann, Marie (Wallace) Schmidt and Clayton (Marlene) Neeb. She will be fondly remembered by her 22 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Also remembered by her step-children Percy (Sharon) McClenaghan, Cheryl (Don) Saunders and Calvin (Mandy) McClenaghan. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Mildred and her dear friend John McKinnon.
Predeceased by Wilfred Neeb, Art Berg, Margaret Hoffmann and Syd Cheeseman and niece Marlene George.
Vera was a 25 year member at J. M. Schneiders and a long time member of the ELW at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She loved to travel, knit and do needlepoint
Relatives and friends will be received at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel (519-742-4481), 51 Benton St. Kitchener on Wednesday, April 13th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, April 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 54 Benton St. in Kitchener with Rev. David Malina officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery following the service.
