Peacefully, November 27, 1992, in his 87th year, in Cambridge, Ont. He had been a resident of Inverhaugh, Ont. for the past 20 years, where he moved upon retiring from J.M. Schneider's after 34 years. A very talented musician, he had often been featured as xylophone soloist when he was a member of the Waterloo Band under the leadership of C.F. Theil, as well, he taught percussion to both the Preston Scout House Band and the K-W Air Cadets Band. Many Waterloo County children also benefit from his music lessons. Carl, dearly loved husband of Anne Harris; loving father of Evelyn (Mrs. Burt Dousett) of Shelburne, Jean (Mrs. Ray Behrendt) of Conestogo and Eileen (Mrs. Dave Weldon) of Georgetown. He will be lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is survived by a sister, Dorothea Miller and a brother, Wilbert Ott. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes in Preston Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queertston Rd., Cambridge, 653-3251. by the family.
