- Percy Shilling of 175 Waterloo St, died Thursday at K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was 50.
Born in Kitchener, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Shilling Sr. He was a self-employed painter and decorator for many years. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
During the Second World War he served overseas with the Highland Light Infantry of Canada and the Royal Canadian Regiment.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two daughters.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Baker; four sons, Frederick, Dennis, Harry and Terry, all at home; five daughters, Mrs. Donald (Lynn) Hergott of Waterloo, Mrs. Bruce (Edith) Hilts and Mrs. Larry (Brenda) Kienapple, both of Kitchener, Sandra and Betty Ann, both at home; a brother, Howard of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Merle (Jean) St. Croix and Mrs. Douglas (Eva) Daley, both of Kitchener, and 10 grandchildren.
