- HAMILTON, HAROLD PARRISH was born at Uxbridge on June, 23, 1890, a son of William Hamilton.
He graduated from the medical faculty of the University of Toronto in 1915, and at once enlisted as a private in the Number 2 Casualty Clearing Station. Overseas he was commissioned in the Royal Army Medical Corps, served as medical officer for the East Surrey Regiment and saw action in France, Egypt and Greece. He was awarded the Military Cross, for which the citation does not seem to be available.
On his return to Canada in 1918, he spent a short time in Toronto but was in Kitchener by 1922. he had an extensive practice, at one time having his office at the corner of Wellington and King Streets.
At the beginning of the Second World War he first went overseas, then served as District Medical Officer at St. John New Brunswick, and Halifax. He then returned overseas again as officer commanding Number 10 General Field Hospital. He returned to Canada in 1945 with the rank of Colonel.
He resumed his practice once more, remaining active until the middle of 1960 when he retired.
He died on September 23. 1960 in his 71st. year, being predeceased by his wife, and was survived by four daughters.

Dr. Hamilton Dies From Heart Seizure
Dr. Harold (Hal) P. Hamilton, 70, of 7 Union St., Waterloo, died ast night at his home after suffering a heart attack.
Dr. Hamilton practised medicine in the Twin Cities for nearly 40 years and served overseas in the First and Second World Wars. He retired about six months ago.
ENLISTED AS PRIVATE
He was graduated from the school of medicine, University of Toronto, and immediately enlisted as a private in the First World War. Overseas he was commissioned as a lieutenant and was named medical officer for the East Surrey Regiment.
Rising to the rank of major, he saw service in France, Egypt and Greece. He was discharged in 1918.
At the outbreak of the Second World War he went overseas again but returned to serve as district medical officer at the military camps at St. John's. N.B., and Halifax.
Later he went overseas as officer commanding No. 10 General Field Hospital with the rank of colonel. He returned to Canada in 1945.
Dr. Hamilton was born June 23, 1890 at Uxbridge, son of the late William Hamilton and the former Abigail Parrish. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church., the Westmount Country Club and formerly was a member of the K-W Rotary Club.
His wife, the former Ruth Mac Phadyen, predeceased him.
FAMILY SURVIVES
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Bruce (Mary) Clarke of Brampton, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Saunders of Edmonton, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Gibbons, Jr, and Mrs. Audrey (Ann) Hollis, both of Bermuda; two brothers. Roy of Lakeland, Fla., and Fred of Winnipeg, and fourteen grand- children.
The body will be at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until Tuesday noon, then at St. Andrew's Church where friends are asked to pay their respects prior to the time of the service.
Very Rev. Finlay G. Stewart, minister of the church, will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday with burial following in Woodland Cemetery. Contributions to the K-W Rotary Centre will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
