  BELOVED CITIZEN HAS PASSED AWAY Well Known And Highly Inspected Hespelerite Joins Great Majority Hespeler mourns the loss of one of its most highly respected citizens.in the person of William Markle who passed away early hour this morning, in his 87th year, following an illness of only a few weeks. The late Mr. Markie was born at Bullock's Corners, and few years later moved to Belleville. From the latter place he came to Hespeler and has been a resident of this place since 1881. Deceased was well known and loved, by all. His kind disposition won him many friends, who along with the bereaved family will mourn his loss. He was devoted member of the Methodist church and in his younger years took an active interest in church work. He never held office in town affairs but time and time again rendered valuable assistance. The late Mr. Markle in spite of his advanced age enjoyed the best of health until a few months ago. His wife pre-deceased him seven years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss besides large circle of friends the following children: John and James and Mrs. Fred Morrison of Hamilton, Nelson of Kitchener, Gilbert of Detroit, Mrs. C. Moreland -and Charles of Hespeler, and two sisters Mrs. Alex Ferrier of Shelbourne, and Mrs. Dobbs, of Verdon, Man. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon from the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. James Moreland, Walker st., with whom he made his home.
