• Notes

  The report that Rev. D. Dippel, an aged minister of the Evangelical Association who had been superannuated a member of years and who had made his house here where he was occasionally called to service, had died, was not altogether unexpected, since it was well known that his health had been rapidly failing of late. The deceased was born in Germany and emigrated to Canada in his early manhood. While engaged in farm and other labor he made one of his spare time in fitting himself for the ministry and in due time he was ordained into the regular service of the Evangelical Association in which field he worked close to 40 years, being removed as is customary in the ministry of this denomination, from one circuit to another until his work had brought him in contact with the greater portion of German speaking adherents of the Evangelical denominations in Canada, amongst, whom he was greatly esteemed for his warmest Christian and manly qualities.
