  WALTER, Eleanor (Mrs. Aloysius) - Peacefully, on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Eleanor Walter, in her 92nd year, of Elmira.Beloved wife of the late Aloysius "Al" Walter (1991). Loving and devoted mother of Betty and Jerome "Buster" Ertel of Elmira, Marlene and Ken Brubacher of Pine Tree Harbour, Joan and Bill Hahn of Elmira, Richard and Fay Walter of RR 2, Wallenstein. Also lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Harold Zinger of Torrence, California. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Josephine Zinger; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Karger, and one great-granddaughter in infancy; five brothers, William, Charles, Louis, Phillip and George and two sisters; Mary Sellner and one sister in infancy. Eleanor was a 50 year member of the CWL. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, Flamingo Drive, Elmira on Saturday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. In her memory, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or Chateau Gardens Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The Record Newspaper
