Notes |
- SIMPSON, Mildred Mabel (nee Melitzer) July 7, 1919 - March 6, 2013 Peacefully at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, Waterloo, with her family by her side, Mildred left to join her beloved husband Howard (2007) and son Philip (2010). Survived by her daughter Glenda, sons Gregory, Craig (Brenda) and daughter-in-law Valerie, brothers Ronald (Veronica), Sheldon (Lorna) and sister Vida Geddes. Predeceased by her parents Sheldon and Imo Melitzer, brother Roy and sisters Bernice and June. "Gramma" will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mildred was born and raised in the Winterbourne area. She was a long time resident of Erbsville until she moved to Columbia Forest Long Term Care. A second mother to all the kids who grew up in Erbsville; many who attended Erbsville Public School will fondly remember her as "Missy" the lunch monitor. Mildred was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Erbsville), and the L.C.W. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Columbia Forest, who, over the years, became part of her extended family. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home . A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. ~ Miss Me But Let Me Go ~ When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rights in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared; Miss me--but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to Home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know. Bury your sorrows in doing good deeds; Miss me--but let me go. www.dreisingerfuneralhome.com
