- RUGGLE, Ruth Lillian (nee Schweitzer) - Passed away at Bellville General Hospital, on February 26, 2007, in her 99th year. Ruth Ruggle, former resident of The Anchorage Condo Complex, was born in Aurora Ontario, on February 23, 1909, the daughter of the late Edward Schweitzer and Elizabeth Tennis. Wife of the late Frank Ruggle. Her early years were spent in the village of Conestogo where she was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. After graduating from Business College, she worked for several years at Dominion Life in Waterloo, Ontario. Ruth married Frank Ruggle in 1947. They lived in Waterloo, Burlington, and finally in Belleville and Oak Lake, near Stirling.She is survived by her sister, Georgina (Jim) Struthers, of Toronto and her brother, Bill (Myrtle) Schweitzer of St. Catharines. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.She is predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Hahn and her brother, Walter Schweitzer. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, Belleville (30 Moira Street West, 613 968-2273) from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parkview Cemetery (335 University Ave. East, Waterloo) on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Parkview. The family would like to thank her caregivers who have looked after her so well in the past few years.
